Windows Error Saving License to Registry

The error message, Error saving license to registry, when you try to activate, can occur if the install process was not able to properly set up the registry for saving the license.

 

Follow these steps to activate MySpeed one time and then MySpeed can start normally when the computer starts.

  1. Quit all Internet browser applications
  2. Quit MySpeed (right-click on the MySpeed icon in System Tray and select Close)
  3. Find MySpeed in the start menu
  4. Right-click and select "Run as administrator". 
  5. Activate MySpeed as you normally would.
  6. After the activation completes, MySpeed will start normally when the computer starts.
